This late July / August road trip of 3,280 miles would take us through the western side of Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming and South Dakota.

This image is from our time in Hulett, Wyoming a charming and very friendly old west town of about 400 local folks.
Hulett and Devils Tower National Monument as I learned is a major pit stop for Sturgis, South Dakota motorcycle traffic during early August.
