Description
Las Vegas Architectural Lines Aria 01 PA 01.
This image is a member of the Westward Ho 2019 series.
This artwork was sold Twice (2) as a Small 11 oz Coffee Mug to a buyer from Grain Valley, MO.
Additional images from this 21 day September road trip of 4,601 miles that would take us through the western side of Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Nebraska can be viewed in my Fine Art America related State or National Parks galleries.
During this trip we would experience a 3 day visit to Keystone, South Dakota. Close by would be the night Illumination viewing of Mount Rushmore National Park, The Crazy Horse Memorial, A trip into Big Thunder Gold Mine (Note: I have a new respect for miners working in near total darkness.) and a fun visit to the National Presidential Wax Museum across from our Roosevelt Inn room. To complete this visit in the Black Hills we would spend some time at the outdoor studio of Dahls Chain Saw Art.
Then a short ride Westward to Casper, Wyoming for a 3 night stay for some quality outdoor time in the surrounding mountain areas with family.
From Casper a ride westward through the open ranges of Wyoming would bring us to Little America for a gas and ice cream stop. Continuing on to the freshly fallen snow caps of Salt Lake City, Utah for 3 nights.
Onward south through beautiful Utah to Las Vegas, Nevada and 3 nights on the Bellagio 25th floor facing the world famous fountain of the hotel while enjoying the view, smell and sound of 18 cars at the NASCAR BURNOUT Intersection of Las Vegas Blvd and Sands Ave. Then a long awaited chartered van tour from Las Vegas to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon for a Bucket List walk on the Glass Skywalk. Then back to the Bellagio to enjoy a few relaxing Tram rides while viewing the Architectural Lines of this stunning city.
After leaving Vegas the next stop would be 3 days at The View Cabins (Full View) on the valley floor of Monument Valley for the beautiful changing vista lighting of the buttes. The Milky Way was astounding after the golden sunsets on the valley objects viewed from our cabin porch and through the cabin picture window.
A pleasant surprise was finding a small herd of horses huddling for shade under one lone tree on the valley floor. A late night journey to the viewing deck by the gift shop was rewarded by the moon hanging over the valley and the complete lack of man made sounds.
Finishing up with 3 days in Southern Kanab, Utah. Enjoying my favorite town for it’s hospitality and it’s central location to so many activities like the multiple trips taken this time for the different lighting on the massive walls at Zion National Park including Kolob Canyons (part of West Zion National Park) and the surrounding National Forests in the area.
Our trip would finish while transitioning from deserts through National Forests and snow capped mountains to the lush green countryside of Nebraska and Iowa reminding me that I was getting back into the Midwest and our rich black farming soil.
From my eyes, through the view finder to the click of the shutter. I hope you enjoy these moments in time that have been captured.
This photograph has been Digitally Enhanced to help this image to be considered a unique moment in time.
